How to Install IndiBet on iPhone: iOS PWA Setup Guide
IndiBet does not have an App Store listing because Apple does not allow real-money betting apps in India. Instead, IndiBet uses a Progressive Web App (PWA). You install it from Safari. It works exactly like a native app. It opens full screen, has an icon on your home screen, and sends push notifications.
What is a PWA?
A Progressive Web App is a website that behaves like a native app. You install it from the browser instead of the App Store. It opens in full screen mode, without the Safari address bar. It can send push notifications. It works offline for cached content. PWAs are used by many betting platforms that are not on the App Store.
Step 1: Open Safari
You must use Safari to install the PWA. Chrome and Firefox on iOS do not support adding PWAs to the home screen. Open Safari and go to the IndiBet website.
Step 2: Log In or Sign Up
If you already have an account, log in with your phone number and password. If you are new, tap Sign Up, enter your phone number, verify with OTP, and create your account.
Step 3: Add to Home Screen
Tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari (the square with an arrow pointing up). Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”. You can rename the app if you want. Tap Add. The IndiBet icon appears on your home screen.
Step 4: Open the App
Tap the IndiBet icon on your home screen. The app opens in full screen mode. No address bar. No Safari chrome. It looks and feels like a native app.
Step 5: Deposit and Play
Tap Deposit. Choose UPI. Enter your UPI ID and amount. Confirm in your UPI app. The money lands instantly. You can now bet on cricket, play Teen Patti, and use all IndiBet features.
iOS Requirements
You need iOS 14 or above. The PWA works on iPhone 6s and newer. It also works on iPad with iPadOS 14 and above. Make sure Safari is updated to the latest version.
PWA vs Native App: What is the Difference?
For IndiBet, there is almost no difference. The PWA loads as fast as a native app. It has the same features. The only thing you miss is Face ID integration for login. You log in with phone number and password instead. Everything else is identical.
The PWA actually has one advantage. It updates automatically. When IndiBet releases a new feature, you get it the next time you open the app. No need to update from the App Store.
Can I Use IndiBet on Mac?
Yes. If your Mac has Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4), you can install iOS apps from the App Store. But since IndiBet is a PWA, just open Safari on your Mac, go to IndiBet, and add it to your Dock. It works the same way.
Troubleshooting
Home Screen Icon Not Appearing
Make sure you are using Safari, not Chrome. The Share button only shows “Add to Home Screen” in Safari. If it still does not appear, update iOS to the latest version.
App Opens in Safari Instead of Full Screen
Delete the home screen icon and add it again. Make sure you open IndiBet from the home screen icon, not from a Safari bookmark.
Push Notifications Not Working
Go to Settings > Safari > Notifications. Make sure IndiBet is allowed. You may need to open the PWA and enable notifications from within the app.
